What is our approach?
This mentoring course aims to enhance your data visualisation and PowerBI skills by focusing on the tasks you need to complete.
This online mentoring course is designed around an effective pathway focusing on student lead tasks (50% of the time), tutor-dedicated feedback (25% of the time) and reflective mentoring meetings (25% of the time).
We adopt a mentoring life-cycle, of working together on reviewing your current PowerBI skills to inform the mentoring aims, agreeing on your real-world task, defining the audience, and the delivery method, articulating what is a successful outcome before moving on to identify your data sources, and visualising this through PowerBI Desktop ready for you to use.
We view a Mentor as someone who shares their knowledge, skills and experiences to help you develop and grow.
The Course Duration is approximately 6 hours, of which (i) 3 hours of you working on your task, (ii) 1.5 hours of 1-2-1 mentoring sessions and (iii) 1.5 hours by the Mentor feeding back on your work.
